Booni Box was started by Anuj Dhanak as a way to bring people together, raise money for social businesses and deliver a social impact. Since then we’ve partnered with over 100 different businesses across the globe, supported multiple grassroots projects and have helped build communities.

A Booni Box is not just a gift where the recipient benefits. Each box has carefully selected brands that have a meaningful and positive impact on some of the issues we see in society. From plastic-free chewing gum to crisps packed in 100% compostable bags, to craft beers that tackle bread waste and provide clean drinking water for people without.

2013

Juice Cube was born. A social enterprise juice bar in west London, set up to tackle fruit and vegetable waste and support community based projects. With juice subscriptions, corporate events, partnerships with local gyms, we exceeded our targets and saved over 5 tonnes of surplus fruit and veg from going to waste!

2015

We realised the opportunity to scale and make impact from one location was tough. We received enormous amounts of support from the community, the council and of course regular customers, but we decided to sell the juice bar and explore other opportunities to give impact.

2016

We launched our crowdfunding campaign to explore untapped opportunities. We wanted to see how we can incorporate social enterprise in existing markets.

2018

Booni Box was born!

We realised that in order to scale and make the difference we wanted we needed to operate in a growing market; subscriptions and gifting. Collecting innovative, social enterprise brands and distributing them in one box. Simple.
